On the way to Cruise Moab, Don, Paul, Ben and Cliff went to Goblin Valley State Park and then Hole in the Rock Trail, the part south of Lake Powell. Just before Goblin we met up with Vince a friend from Gillette, WY. There are two sections of the Hole in the Rock trail. The one north of Lake Powell is a maintained dirt road. The one south of Lake Powell is a rugged 4 wheel drive trail. The Hole in the Rock proved a little too challenging at a road washout about halfway to the end, so we turned back.
This trip was the first time for Ben and Paul to join us off-roading so it was all new for them. Ben was also the photographer for this trip and did 43 of the 53 photos below. Click on the “By BenD” button above the photos to see his.
