To explore more difficult slot canyons in the Southwest, Steve, Don, Randy and Cliff took a canyoneering course just outside Zion. The day after they completed the course, Cliff and Susan hiked the Virgin River Narrows in Zion National Park. They hiked up the river for about 6 miles, most of which is hiking in the river. Susan and Cliff took a couple of days camping at a remote overlook of Lake Powell and at White Pocket, AZ.
Video of hiking The Narrows – We hiked about 10 miles round trip in this scenic slot canyon, over 7 miles of it in the river due to narrow canyon. We were a little tired as this was on way out.
