In late May Susan and Cliff made a quick trip to S. California for good visits with Cliff’s cousin Laurie and one of his high school teachers. We drove through Mojave Nat’l Preserve, which had impressive areas of yellow wildflowers (primarily creosote bushes), and Joshua Tree Nat’l Pk. The Joshua’s were not in bloom; however,
the ocotillo was in splendid bloom and a roadrunner stopped to say hi before running off.
